I'm back home. Should have happened yesterday, but we landed in D/FW about thirty minutes ahead of that killer stormbank that cut right across where we would be driving back to town. So we spent the night in Richardson with in-laws.
We got up early, and even managed to get on the road pretty quick, but while we were driving, we got the news that the man we went to Toronto to see died in the hospital the day we left. That took the wind out of our sails and delayed our arrival in Vernon.
I've got three days' worth of work to catch up on, and now with the funeral happening later this week, there are contracts and papers to go over, and some legal hoops to jump through. I will try, very hard, to do some writing not related to Texas music grants in the next two days, but it's not likely. I will keep the progress reports up, though.
Sorry to hear about the tragedies.
ReplyDeleteThe contest will still be here in a couple of days.
Yeah, I can let you off the hook for the progress reports for as long as you need. Friends & family come first, especially in times of crisis.
